Volunteer

You don't have to be experienced in animal care to become a valued member of our volunteer program. Your time and enthusiasm are invaluable and guarantee the success of our shelter's programs.

If you are between the ages of 15 and 100 you can help the animals by volunteering!

Volunteers participate in all aspects of the shelter, from the veterinary clinic or the front office, to the Mobile Outreach Unit or adoption program.

Currently, all Junior, Adult, and Companion Animal Program (CAP)/Barks & Books Volunteer positions are full until February, 2011. If you would like to join us this winter, please come back to this website on Monday, December 13th. You can help the animals now by participating in the 2010 Wiggle Waggle Walk Fundraiser at Brookside Park on September 26. Our goal is to raise $300,000 for the animals -- but we need your help. Please sign up today to form a team, walk as an individual, or stay home but raise funds. If you would like to help spread the word by visiting dog parks, pet stores, etc., please contact Nicole Ring at (626) 792-7151, Ext. 167 or nring@phsspca.org.

Thank you for helping the animals!
