The Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA has two major events every year, and a third every other year. Whether you are attending, donating or volunteering at these unique events, they are not to be missed!

Major Events

Doglegs, Birdies & Eagles: Get on the Ball!

Annual Golf and Tennis Tournament

Each Spring, Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA holds a golf and tennis benefit that includes a putting contest, 18-hole golf scramble, doubles round-robin tennis, and an awards dinner featuring live and silent auctions. Golf packages are $250 per person and tennis packages are $100 per player; both include lunch and dinner. Non-players can purchase dinner tickets separately for $75 per person. Many sponsorship opportunities—including tee and court signage—are available.

In 2009 we will be holding our 2nd annual helicopter golf ball drop at the 10th Doglegs, Birdies & Eagles: Get on the Ball! scheduled for Monday, April 20 at the La Canada Flintridge Country Club. At the end of the day, thousands of individually numbered golf balls will be dropped over a hole on the 18th fairway. If your ball falls into the hole you can win 50% of the total funds collected…up to $10,000! An additional prize will be awarded to the ball that lands farthest away from the hole. Golf balls are priced at $25 each or five for $100. All proceeds support the programs of the Pasadena Humane Society.

Artistic License

The Pasadena Animal League (PAL) will host Artistic License, an evening filled with art, music, fine food and wine and a silent auction, on Saturday, June 27, 2009. Tickets for the event will cost $75. Proceeds will support the shelter’s animal welfare and adoption programs.

The event will be held in a stunning private garden and will feature fabulous cuisine and beverages, courtesy of Smith’s Brother’s Catering and Craig’s Crew of Pasadena. The silent auction will include original artworks and other items inspired by our animal friends.

All of the items for auction are donated by individuals who participate in the caring community that supports the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA. Wiggle Waggle Walk

September 27, 2009 will mark the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA’s 11th annual Wiggle Waggle Walk! We cordially invite you to join us as a participant in this much-loved event—held at the world-famous Rose Bowl—that’s filled with fun for every member of the family, both two- and four-footed! Last year’s event was an enormous success, drawing over 2,000 walkers from all over the Southern California area. In addition to the walk, we are pleased to present a Family Fun Fair complete with exciting shows and demonstrations, children’s activities and an array of vendors.
