Canine College: Stories

Nina

Melissa,

We are very proud of our Canine College Graduate and we are looking for the right time to enroll her in "Grad School!"

We are very proud of her. She is so well behaved that passers-by on the street comment "what a well-behaved dog!" She continues to do perfect sits and downs, and comes when called. (We are still working on her down/stay; her sit/stay has improved.) All of our friends are impressed with her behavior and those of them with dogs that lack "degrees" all ask where we took her.

Best of all, we think that we learned more than she did. Our canine college sessions really helped us understand and appreciate the motivations and rationale of this funny little stray we took in.

Here are a few pictures from graduation!

Thanks again for everything.
Sincerely,

Leslie Hellman & Ethan Teller (proud owners of Nina, Canine College grad, class of '09)

Hello Melissa:

Brian and I wanted to thank you again for the class you gave every Tuesday evening. Just today we received PROOF that the class worked. The wind blew the gate to our backyard open. Cain was in the backyard at the time and subsequently left. An aside: We live in the hills of Altadena next to a relatively well-traveled road. Brian and I called Cain for literally 30 seconds after which time he came RUNNING from over the hill and into Brian’s arms. Talk about the ultimate test of recognition of his name!!! If we hadn’t taken your class Cain would have never come from such a long distance when called. YOU saved our little dog!!!

Thanks,

Desi and Brian
