Reactive Rovers
Any age. Space is limited. Please call to register. Does your pooch have something to bark about when he spots his canine cousins? Could daily walks with your best friend be just a bit more serene? Do you wish your dog would tell you how he really feels on leash? This five week specialty course designed especially for dogs who are reactive to other dogs. Discussion includes reasons for dog reactivity as well as how to respond when your dog becomes over-stimulated. While in our modified group class setting, we’ll teach and practice basic obedience cues including sit, down, stay and more. Opportunities will be given for you to work with your dog around distractions while desensitizing and counter-conditioning your dog to other dogs.
Basic Obedience
Any age. This five week course focuses on basic training of useful skills. Discussions address problem solving of learnt and established behaviors such as jumping up. Instruction includes sit, down, stay, loose leash walking and come when called.
Intermediate Obedience
Pre-requisite: Puppy Kindergarten or Basic Obedience. This five week course allows students to progress in their training. Discussion and training includes improving leash walking, food refusal, sending your dog to his bed, and establishing a reliable recall. Opportunities will be given for you and your pet to train with distractions.
Advanced Obedience
Pre-requisite: Intermediate Obedience. This five week course is designed to emphasize the commands previously learned in basic and intermediate obedience while increasing control off-leash with a higher rate of distance and distractions. Discussions and trainings include heel, food refusal, targeting, getting in the car, and establishing a reliable off-leash recall, both indoor and outdoor.
Canine Good Citizen (CGC)

The Canine Good Citizen program is a wonderful foundation for future activities with your dog as well as a beneficial way to enhance the bond between you and your pet. All dogs attending this course will have the opportunity to schedule testing with a certified CGC Evaluator. In addition, dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.
