Educational Outreach Programs

Education Outreach Programs are available to our community and the Pasadena Humane Society has an active education program for all age levels. As part of our work to promote humane treatment of animals, our education program is a vital link to the community.

Shelter Tours

The Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA offers tours of our shelter to youth groups, scout troops, service clubs, etc. Each visiting group will be taken to our auditorium for a presentation about the Society. Participants will also have a chance to interact with resident animals before touring our state-of-the art animal shelter. Small groups may be taken into the veterinary hospital depending on the day's activities.

Service Clubs

When planning your speaker schedule, consider the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA as a resource. Select staff members can present a variety of educational programs to your service club.

Staff Training for Bite Prevention

Is your staff properly trained to safely enter homes with pets? Is your workman's compensation bill increasing along with the increase of bite incidents? The Pasadena Humane Society offers training classes to service personnel. Attendees will be equipped with the knowledge to avoid a bite. This 45-minute program will help you protect your staff.
